Hello,
We are Derek and Anura Lawson. We live in Los Angeles, California with our three children ages 2 months to 14 years of age. My husband is pursuing acting and I am a teacher with the Los Angeles Unified School District. I am an English teacher and English Tutor. Our daughter Aminah is in 9th grade. Our son Ahmad is in 5th grade. Our daughter Ava is our newest addition and she gets older with each new day.
We enjoy having students from other countries come and stay with us. We feel that the knowledge and interactions that we have with these students make us better human beings. We hope that we will have a chance to continue this muliticultural exchange.
